Dostojna rakija at the all-Serbian summit “Expo 2016” in Dietikon
In Dietikon, near Zurich, the two-day all-Serbian summit “Expo 2016” opened last weekend — a fair of the Serbian economy and of the cultural heritage of the all-Serbian business and academic diaspora — opened by the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, Marko Čadež. At the City Hall, organised by the Association of Serbian Entrepreneurs of Switzerland with the support of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, representatives of 70 companies from the diaspora and the homeland gathered with their own stands. The initiative to hold the Summit came from the Association of Serbian Entrepreneurs of Switzerland; the business summit was agreed at the last meeting of the Diaspora Business Council of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia in December last year.
The fair also included a business forum on the topic of “networking the Serbian business and academic diaspora – a new model of cooperation with the diaspora”, on which the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia works together with the competent state institutions, along with “establishing the Serbian Diaspora Business Summit” as a traditional annual gathering in Zurich, “Serbian brands – support for promotion and distribution on foreign markets”, “Spend your holiday in Serbia – get to know your homeland” and “Lobbying for Serbia in the world”.
Among the 70 exhibitors was DOSTOJNA, keeper of the tradition of distilling Serbian rakija, from the heart of Šumadija. As the brand of the best of Šumadija, Dostojna rakija won great affection from all visitors at the summit. The quality of our products, as well as the design itself, was decisive in making us one of the most visited stands. What pleases us especially is that we presented our domestic product in the best possible way to potential distributors for the Swiss market. The fruit of that strong presentation is that negotiations have begun with distributors to bring DOSTOJNA rakija to Switzerland as soon as possible and make it readily available to our people living in that country.
Once again I take this opportunity, on behalf of Destilerija Čolić, to thank the Association of Serbian Entrepreneurs of Switzerland, headed by Mr Stojan Stevano, for the excellent organisation and hospitality.
